Read it

I’m not sure why I’m writing this i just thought abt it today. Anyway did you ever realise how sometimes some of us complain of stuff that seem big to us but are actually very small? Did you ever think about all the unfortunate ppl out there. Those who are homeless. Maybe those whose parents hve died. Those whose parents actually abandoned them. People who are mentally and physically disabled. When we’re all complaining abt stuff, take some time to actually appreciate what you already hve. Isn’t wht you hve enough. Take some time to think abt all the less fortunate ppl. Maybe we complain abt gettin too little pocket money for school. But think abt it, some people don’t even get any money or go to school. It’s sad how the world is a very harsh place. Next time you complain abt something small, think abt this. Anyway some of you might disagree and say, “So what!? If people are like this they’re just unlucky! Too bad for them!” . Anyway wtv u wanna think. That’s all for now.

Never Post Ads

Always be careful when you are posting ads( short for advertisements). Whenever you post ads you must make sure you put U, 18, 18+, SG or SX . These are the things you see when you go to watch a movie. U is for all ages from child until any age. 18 is for exactly that age and 18+ is for that age and above. These signs are good and very useful because if you are not of that certain age you might watch something really violent and stuff that are bad and you might just try to do that something and end up in an accident. . These are the signs that allow you to know the certain age to use this certain thing. Violent movies with bad things inside the movie are usually rated as either 18 or 18+. Sometimes if you post ads in a bad way then perhaps people might just get irritated and scold you back by mail. Sometimes, ads don’t use their own website. They use other peoples one. So, post ads in a decent way.

Net Languange

In those days when Internet was not so popular, people wrote mails to communicate. They didn’t use abbreviations either. Abbreviations save a lot of time and space. Abbreviations are short forms like, for example: AFAIK-As far as I know. Instead of writing down the whole thing for example, “As far as I know he has not come back from London.” You can just type, “AFAIK he has not come back from London. More abbreviations/ short forms are: CYA-See ya, GR8-Great, BBL- Be back later, IOW-In other words, SOL-Soon or later, OIC-Oh I see, BTW-By the way, POV-Point of view, BFN-Bye for now (B4N), 4M-From, TQ-Thank you(THX, TY), F2F-Face to face. There are many more types of abbreviations. But always make sure that the person you are using short forms(abbreviations) with knows these abbreviations.

Flame Throwers

Flame Throwers are people who talk/write/type bad about themselves and leave it online. Some people will get fed up and their( the flame thrower) account will be freezed by ISP(Internet Service Provider…i think) Flame war is known as calling yourself names. I t is something like personal/self abuse. No one would like to read any bad stuff about you or anyone for that matter. Those people who mind reading about the bad things about you or anyone will feel that you are not a very nice person to talk to online
and will not want to talk to you online. No one would like that, would you? Also if your account is frozen then you won’t be able to do anything there. It’s like being not allowed to be inside that place anymore. So it is never nice to have your account frozen or people not wanting to talk to you. Before you post something always read it first to make sure no one will be offended.

Netiquette

  1. One of the most important online etiquettes is to be tactful.Approach mentally disabled people(retards) in a clever and polite manner. Ask them what is their favorite sport or hobby. They might soon get more and more interested in the conversation and you will be on the right foot with them.
  2. Another important online etiquette is to bite your tongue. Mind your words and don’t post in anger or rude language before you send anything to anybody. Spelling and grammar mistakes may also be considered as rude. People may think of you as a rude and uneducated person. It is better to be polite and use correct spellings and grammar.
  3. You shouldn’t use all uppercase(Caps Lock). It is considered rude. For example:”I DON’T LIKE TO EAT CORN.” . When stressing on certain words it is okay. For example: “I want this BAG from FRANCE.”. You are stressing on the important words like pen and France. People will think that you are shouting and feeling angry.
  4. Next, is to mind your language. You shouldn’t use bad language for the same reason as to bite your tongue. If you are, for example, playing an online game and someone is sending bad words. Although the server is trying to block the words, sometimes the words come in. You should report it to the server for safety.
  5. You should also watch your words. If you are very close to someone and you know that they don’t mind you using certain words then it is okay. But sometimes these words accidentally go to other people or the wrong person. Always check who you are sending to before you post in a text or comment.
  6. You should respect other people’s confidentially. Don’t reply to messages which are sent by unknown people. They might be sending viruses through e-mail. Apart from being rude, it may be an illegal breach of confidence. If you find that someone you do not know has sent you an e-mail, just delete it just don’t bother about it.
  7. Another important online etiquette is to keep it simple. Don’t be so detailed. Don’t use very hard words. Always short and sweet. Three-to-five lines are enough. Always go straight to the point of the message. Don’t use too many smilies like those little peoples face that show emotions.
  8. When online you should not be a grammar pendant. Don’t care too much about grammatical errors. Everyone makes grammar and spelling errors, perhaps even yourself. If there are too many grammatical errors and you cannot read it properly, maybe you should ask that person what she or he meant to say in that message.
  9. You should always use plain text when online. Don’t use HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language) codings because people might not be able to read and understand what you are trying to explain in the message. So, always use simple and plain text. It’s is always much more simple for other people to read.
  10. You should always warn if you might spoil a surprise. For example if there is a football match between Liverpool and Manchester United and you know that Manchester United is going to win 6-2 you should warn people. First you have to make sure that you are confident that they are true .

COMPUTER MID-YEAR EXAM(2007)

Computer mid-year examination(2007) will be held at 21/6/2007(21st of June 2007,Thursday). It starts at 8:00a.m and ends at 9:00a.m. Total time given is 1 hour. 30 minutes for theory exam(written exam) and another 30 minutes for practical exam(on the system). The syllabus is e-mail and blogs. There will also be general questions like input devices and output devices and parts of the computer . Print out or just read (but not memorize) the notes given on his blog or just read the notes from the exercise book for more understanding of the things that aren’t so clear. Taking 40 minutes on the theory tests takes away 10 minutes from the practical exam just like taking 20 minutes for the theory exam gives me extra time to either check my paper or have more time for my practical exam. It’s much better to understand and not to memorize.
